Verse 1
I’m wasted now
Looking for the bottom
Bottom of the bottle
Wasted now
Looking for a reason
Reason for my breathing
Lift
In this room
With neon gloom
wasted now
wasted
Verse 2
I’m wasted now
Having trouble dealing
with way too many feelings
Wasted now
I can't help believing
there must be a reason
Lift
In this room
With neon gloom
wasted now
wasted
Verse 3
I’m wasted now
Looking for the bottom
Bottom of the bottle
Wasted now
Looking for a reason
Reason for my breathing
Lift
In this room
With neon gloom
wasted now
wasted
Bridge
~ (effected vox)
Can't sleep at night,
without drowning all the feelings
numbing the voices of doubt
dark screaming in my mind
All the Anger, All the Pain,
All the guilt in my brain
and fear saying that
I never dare to start again
Lift
In this room
With neon gloom
wasted now
wasted
Song story

A few weeks after my separation I started drinking, not a lot by other peoples standards but a lot for me. Coming from a family with a few alcoholics it was something that I had always consciously avoided, realising that like a lot of artistic personalities that I given the right/wrong circumstances I would be prone to substance abuse and that its an easy road to start on but a hard one to find your way home from.

So one night Aaron and I were having one of our normal writing sessions, I had had a few and the rest is fairly obvious, "Musician, in post separation mode seeks rum & coke object self indulgent depression - expression."

PS All the bubble & Squeak weird sounds are Aaron’s guitar, cool eh.
PPS, I still hate that light
