Karthartic
Welcome to the Karthartic web site, our music is described as atmospheric blend of modern U2 meets 70’s Pink Floyd with a heavy serving of melody and soul, were not your normal band, we hope to create art as much as music, songs that are meant to make you feel, think, hope and cry.
Karthartic history
Aaron and Peter were introduced one summer evening at a BBQ and while the party was warming up, a few guitars were found, and some drinks was downed and that jam became a turning point for both, as the night went on it seemed like the pair had been playing together for years not moments. That first meeting was so encouraging that it demanded more at the first writing session a few days later the song shine was created, and as further songs developed, idea of Karthartic was born, songs that heal.As can often happen what originally started out, just as a song writing project became larger as other people were attracted to the nucleus. First Aaron found Jamie through a newspaper advertisement; and then Ben who was playing in another band with James at the time; and finally Trevor who had met Bens brother at an instrument-making program. Karthartic is currently working on their first full-length album.
The band
Trevor Hardinge : Lead Vocals, Lost days, Amazing Voice, Jack & Dry with hey boys look what I found at work moments. Trev was the last to join Karthartic introduced to us via Bens brother Nick (who happens to help out in the studio sometimes), The owner of an amazing voice Trev is the perfect vocalist for Karthartic, showing depth expression and life experience, the tone speaking volumes with every word.
Peter FitzGerald : Keyboards, Programming, Guitar, Harmony vocals, Computers, Wires & Buttons and things that go buzz. Peter is the resident musical Producer/Director, keyboards and along with Aaron is one of the main songwriters.
From the idea, to the finished product, he steers the musical process like a parent using the desk itself as his preferred instrument. He writes from his
heart - sounding from the depths of his soul to express and purge past joys & hurts and
share the full gamut of his life's experiences. His songs appeal to and connect with the thinking and
feeling aspects of ones personality.
Aaron Pocock : Lead & Rhythm Guitar, Spirit Guide, originally from Reading England, strangely he knows the birthday date of everyone he has ever meet and quite a few people he hasn't. Aaron is the one of the main writers and creative driving forces and well as extremely talented Guitarist and artist, his playing is a blend of blues, rock, and a touch of soul.

James MacDonald : Drums, Percussion, Power tools, Chick Magnet, very loud snare drum, motivational chats. James is an unusual animal to say the least, our drummer has a degree in Political Science and is also a tradesman boilermaker! Unusual eh!. Loyal and hardworking he is the most focused of us all, again unusual for a drummer (he he)
Ben Koitka : Bass, Guitar, harmony vocals, quiet introspection with clearing showers, freshening to light rain. A quiet and thoughtful soul, Ben is a natural musician can play almost anything effortlessly, Bass, Guitar, Drums & Vocals with a natural feel for what is right musically
